A simple and easy way to decorate the top of a window is using a window scarf. A window scarf never hides the window view but it does provide a dressing for your window. This window treatment requires fabric that only requires a bit of hemming. The window scarves let the light come in and it does not only beautify the room but also make the window look nice. The window scarves are also termed as valences.

A scarf valance is one of the best scarf window treatments and here are so many methods to hang a scarf valence but you can make it the way you want to make it look like. The window scarves are found in pairs and it gives a look of a curtain. The advantage of the window scarf is that it does not let the dust enter your room at all. It also gives a much better environment to the room.

The bright red sheer window scarves are the most favorite ones and are affordable too. The sheers are layered as well as printed in order to give a new and fresh look. The sheers let a lot of light in especially when the curtains are drawn. They provide less or not privacy at all. One can combine the sheers in order to control the sunlight as per requirement and privacy too. The bright red sheer window scarves may come in cotton, bronze and gold metallic. Using window treatment scarves is not known to many people just because they do not know how to hang them beautifully. There is a way of hanging them all you need is to follow the instructions and solve the problem with interest.

The tiebacks, sconces and rings are the bets option for draping scarves. One should be able to choose from a variety of lengths available so to frame a window. It could either be all the way till it touches the floor or could be half down a window. The right type of hardware, specific measurement of the fabric and some patience would give a neat output.

A scarf can be hung easily by pinning the pleats at the points where one wants to drop the sides of the window down.  After which comes the threading of the fabric through the brackets or sconces. The lower pleats are then to be pulled in the center of the scarf to create a balanced drape and then the pins are released and adjustments are made. Your windows can look more attractive if you use rings in the window scarf.
